Nigel, I didn’t understand you at first, but over the years I grew to appreciate what a kind, generous and wise man you were (your musical talent was never in question!) with a very dry and sometimes wicked sense of humour. I value your friendship and am grateful I got to speak with you one last time. Musical theatre is all the richer for your life, talent and generosity. Thank you doesn’t come close.
